Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Associate to join our esteemed team in Mumbai. Key Responsibilities

As an Investment Associate at Test demo, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including detailed financial modeling, valuation (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), and scenario planning to support investment decisions.
• Perform in-depth industry research, market analysis, and competitive landscaping to identify attractive investment opportunities and assess market trends. This includes synthesizing complex data into actionable insights.
• Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and other critical documents for internal investment committees and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
• Participate actively in due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, accounting, and other third-party advisors to evaluate potential investments thoroughly and identify key risks and opportunities.
• Support the deal origination efforts by identifying potential target companies, conducting initial outreach, and building relationships within the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, advisors, and co-investors.
• Monitor portfolio company performance, analyze key financial metrics, and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at value creation and operational improvements.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for investors, summarizing portfolio performance, market outlook, and strategic updates with meticulous attention to detail.
• Engage in ongoing learning and development to stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging investment strategies, contributing to the firm's intellectual capital.
• Collaborate effectively with senior investment professionals, providing analytical support and contributing to strategic discussions that shape the firm's investment thesis.
• Assist in post-investment activities, including divestitures and exits, by preparing necessary analyses and documentation to maximize returns.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including entrepreneurs, advisors, and co-investors, to enhance deal flow and market intelligence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field from a top-tier institution is required. An MBA or CFA designation is a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or a similar analytical role within the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis, with a proven ability to build complex models from scratch.
• Proficiency in financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv Eikon, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
